Liner Notes:

Well, here's a song...first one I've written since April. I'm hopping back on my 78 songs project that I was working on during FAWM - writing a song for every card in a tarot deck. I finished the Major Arcana during FAWM, so now I'm starting on the suits. First up, Pentacles/Coins!

I acquired a new octave mandolin last month, and while I primarily like noodling around on melodies with my mandolins, it was fun to write something chordy that wasn't on guitar.

Lyrics:

Take the road before you
You’ve only just begun
The journey isn’t easy
And it’s never really done

To everything a season
And for everything a time
There might not be a reason
But perhaps you’ll find a rhyme

Come into the garden
Get dirt upon your hands
Listen to your body
Take the time to understand

To everything a season
And for everything a time
There might not be a reason
But perhaps you’ll find a rhyme

Scatter seeds in constellations
That are wilder than the stars
As they grow, you’ll start to learn
Exactly who you are

To everything a season
And for everything a time
There might not be a reason
But perhaps you’ll find a rhyme

There might not be a reason
But perhaps you'll find a rhyme

Cool project doing a song for each tarot card! These lyrics are very profound.

Haven't pulled out my mandolin yet. This makes me happy! This is really pretty. A very solid folk song. A little Pete Seeger-y.

good to see you, hope you heard your song on the latest podcast - gave you a good rap. This is a nice one as well,

Nice! Octave mandolin, eh? It sounds really interesting. Very resonant.
I like the song a lot, though i struggled to hear the words. Not really a criticism, this is writing, not producing, after all. I'd love to hear it if you were to do something more ambitious with recording the song later on though.

"Scatter seeds in constellations" is such a great line. I can visualize it.

Very pleasant sound. I'm drawn to my grandma's garden in my memories.

Excellent!
