Liner Notes:

This was written for FAWM 2019 (as part of a concept album about communication), but I've changed some of the lyrics and added a new vocal take.
I've been suffering from writer's block lately. I felt doing this would try and kick my creativity into gear.

Lyrics:

My ideas, ever so ambitious
Fall apart, despite my wishes
Whenever I feel a new chapter's begun
There's so many things left undone

My plans don't come to fruition
Whoever I talk to, there's no communication
I'm too unmotivated to do anything
The writer's block is maddening

And I'm staring at a blank page
All those people I reached out to
Don't really follow up on what they say
There's nothing left for me to do

My plans don't come to fruition
Whoever I talk to, there's no communication
I'm too unmotivated to do anything
The writer's block is maddening

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

The chorus is something I can TOTALLY relate to; especially with not being motivated to do anything. I dig this in the way of the 80s group, Madness. This reminds me so much of their style. Great song, man. Totally diggin' it.

after a fairly normal verse in the blues idiom, you go prog in the chorus, where the feeling of writers block comes through profoundly, then the piano soloing carries us through many possibilities before reaching a dead end. fascinating treatment of your theme.
