prompt from letters in thermodynamics

I had a list of words from checking it out to make sure there were plenty of good ones so I just tried to get as many into a story as I could. They are in caps. It's a bit stretchy but hey, it's just a game right?

The title could be from some old movie that might still be available if the mob hasn't suppressed it yet.

Lyrics:

Damn Fine Dame

I went out to THE COAST one day
TO SIT beside THE SEA
I brought along MY THERMOS
To have a cup of TEA

As I sat upon the SHORE
Enjoying the SCENT of AIR
I took a look THEN looked SOME MORE
I saw a MERMAID there.

Ch
SHE was a DAMN fine DAME
CINEMA DYNAMITE
I couldn't STAY, what a SHAME
HAD to get back TO the CITY that night.

That DAMN fine DAME
CAST right off the CHART
CERTAIN to STIR a MEMORY
And leave a CHASM IN MY HEART

I left feelin' MANIC
DICEY, SHOT AND SAD
I was DONE I wanted SOME
But all I got was MAD

I really HATE to take a TONE
TRYIN' to be NICE
INSTEAD of layin' down to MOAN
I'll STAND right up and TRICE.

[Ch]

Love the word salad approach. Music is a pleasant listen. Thanks for hosting and the provocative prompt!

A smooth use of the words you found in the prompt, and the story that was told. I was impressed by CHASM IN MY HEART and MANIC DICEY SHOT AND SAD. I'm always impressed by the quality that comes out of your skirmish songs. That was a fun prompt, thanks for hosting.

You kinda did what someone else here did with this, take all these different words within the word and make a whole song out of them. I'll say the same thing I said to them - genius.
I love these kinds of things, but I just don't have the skill to ever do it myself.
I just sit and marvel at those that do it.
And just like the other song, you didn't just write something clever...you also put it to some good ol' rock back and forth guitar, and gave us a feel good vocal melody to it all.
So many great lines and cleverness in your lyrics.

Well done, you made a lot of really good words to work with, and put them together to make a really good lyric. Nice vocals and guitar too, good job!

Cinema dynamite is such a great phrase that you may never have found without creating this skirmish! So many great phrases and images here. Really enjoyed both the skirmish and your take on it!

I don't know if I could have done anything nearly as close to what you have done here. I like the Cinema Dynamite wording. Don't be surprised, bothered or otherwise upset if I use that at some point. Nice work here.
