Liner Notes:

Messed up the end of the demo but I just gotta let it go for now!

Lyrics:

VERSE:
It started out as a drizzle
Dotting the winding dusty road
For many hope began to fizzle
And the dark clouds began to overload

Many knew their country was in danger
The winds of change were somehow on the rise
Many didn’t mind the rain from this total stranger
Despite the constant downpour of lies

CHORUS:
The Deluge is upon us
More danger each and every day
The Deluge must remind us
That we all know there is a better way
And I trust that we’ll get there come what may

VERSE:
Many days and many nights later
The rain pours on no end in sight
Bent on destruction like a traitor
But it seems this storm’s begun to lose its might

The skies may clear by November
When the people come together as one
But the storm just might rage on through December
By then I hope we’re just no too far gone

CHORUS:
The Deluge is upon us
More danger each and every day
The Deluge must remind us
That we all know there is a better way
And I trust that we’ll get there come what may
And I trust that we’ll get there come what may
‘Cause we all know there is a better way

Great analogy! And reminiscent of great protest songs past. Your delivery is heartfelt and sincere. This whole thing got me a little teary eyed. I hope all this as well. So very much. <3

You are spot on with this and it does make me feel emotional. Love the delivery!

Great flowing tune. Cool and clever lyrics. Sung very well. Great skirmish.

A good skirmish song, for sure. I could totally picture this one being sung live at a folk gathering of like minded people. It brings me back to some of the childhood concert and bluegrass festivals I attended (was drug to by my pops.)

"Dotting the winding dusty road" such a vivid image! I can already smell the rain in the air.

November rains such a rarity here.. as we're mostly getting snow. But the words get my imagination moving. Smile

Good one!
