Liner Notes:

I was a little behind this week on the 5 in 5 challenge, but day 2's prompt was to write a song in the form of a step by step process. This is what I can up with.
I feel like this is a country lyric, so if anyone is interested in taking it on, let me know.

Lyrics:

The Garden
(c) 2020 Deanna Sweidel

“You gotta tend to everything”
Momma always said
“As if you’re takin’ care of
A great big garden bed”

“If you do as momma says
Your flowers’ perfect blooms
Will always brighten up
The darkness of your gloom”

Make sure the soil’s right
A good foundation makes things grow
The most important part
It what you start with down below

Only plant the seeds
That bring daily happiness
If you love what you are gorwin’
Your life will feel less stress

Don’t over feed or water
Too much will wilt your yield
If you over do it
Nothing you do can make it heal

Never let the weeds
Take over your hard work
Be careful of the places
Where they can hide and lurk

I grew to realize Momma
Taught me in her simple way
That life is like a garden
Tend it each and every day

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

Certainly an applicable metaphor. Hope this one gets music!
