Liner Notes:

Written for superskirmish ss071020a, which had the theme of "The theme is an exotic land or faraway place or even an ordinary local destination".

Took 27 mins, so excuse lack of editing, no bridge, and probably needs another verse Smile

Lyrics:

I dream of purple clouds
Floating on a sea of blood red envy and remorse
Where floating means you live above the sure collision course
But of course
But of course

And what is it all for
Why do we carry on
Repeating what we do
We muddle through
And who is the winner
In our faraway dreams

I sing of aching hearts
Calling to the ones they loved who took their vital force
Who rode the tracks of honesty on stolen rocking horse
Par for the course
Par for the course

And what is it all for
Why do we carry on
Repeating what we do
We muddle through
And who is the winner
In our faraway dreams

I especially like the imagery in the first verse. And the first line of the second verse sets the emotion very well.

Wow, these are some complex and powerful lyrics! I love how you ended the verses with "But of course" and "Par for the course"! And the thrid line in each verse is just killer! Chorus asks a pretty big existential question too! Really great work on the skirmish!!

Oh!!! I LOVE this. Wonderfully poetic with effective hooks. My favorite:
I sing of aching hearts
Calling to the ones they loved who took their vital force
Who rode the tracks of honesty on stolen rocking horse

I love the chorus rhetorically asking universal life questions. Wonderful imagery especially in verse 1. Nice work!

Riding on a stolen rocking horse is a really strong like. Such imagination!

I must confess, some of the lyrics remain a mystery to me, but i get a strong feeling of something stirring up.
