I envisioned this with a kind of upbeat poppy feel to the chorus with a striking contrast in the verses where it jolts they listener from oh this is a cute song about sex/sexy women to the reality of sexism and sexual injustice... and the parts in parentheses spoken - as a prechorus and perhaps repeats behind the sung chorus after verse 2 and verse 3 - I feel like the juxtaposition (at least in my sleep deprived head) could be effective and powerful—- but I could be totally wrong and am very open to other musical ideas and collaboration ...

These are a great set of lyrics. I love the contrast from the verses to the chorus and the spoken word parts really drive your point home.

I hope this gets the attention it deserves...another scourge that needs to be confronted.

Powerful stuff. It has a gritty take on a serious subject

V2 really stuck a chord because I remember reading Alice Walker's book, The Temple of My Familiar which addressed the mutilation issue. I was then reminded of it in the song, Bravebird by Amel Larrieux. It's a beautiful song and it speaks profoundly of what is explored in your song here. Spot-on commentary.

The lyrics cover a serious issue and they do it with teeth. It's not just power, it's a direct hit.
