Me

Liner Notes:

I wrote this today for the week1 challenge, Introduction.
Full disclosure - I pinched part of the chorus from something I'd written before the 50/90.
This probably needs a bridge and maybe another verse. A work in progress.

Lyrics:

Me

Verse 1
I’ve always been a traveler
With the urge to roam
From Australia to Zambia
Called four continents my home

Verse 2
On ships and boats and airplanes
Cars and trucks and boots
From snowy alps to dusty plains
I have sampled all their fruits

Chorus:
Through wind and rain and sunbaked calms
I’ve seen mighty cities and swaying palms
I’ve looked the devil in the eye
Seen kindness that would make you cry
As I’ve journeyed on this magic road of life

Verse 3
I’ll have to settle down soon
And make a house a home
To march to some other’s tune
And give up my urge to roam

Chorus:
Through wind and rain and sunbaked calms
I’ve seen mighty cities and swaying palms
I’ve looked the devil in the eye
Seen kindness that would make you cry
As I’ve journeyed on this magic road of life

Ah, I feel like I know you a lot more know. This challenge is great! Biggrin

You're a regular old David Attenborough. An explorer!

Exciting all the images you summon with your words. Very good song!
