It's later than you think

It's later than you think

Liner Notes:

Here we are, one down forty-nine to go!

Lyrics:

It’s Later Than You Think
Verse 1
On a restroom wall in Baltimore
Above a broken sink
Someone scratched this message:
It’s later than you think

Verse 2
I took this simple line to heart
I knew that it was true
I built myself a little boat
And sailed the ocean blue

Refrain:
You are the captain of your fate, your only master’s you
Don’t ever let yourself regret the things you didn’t do

Verse 3
Go and see the Northern Lights
Or visit Timbuktu
But better do it now, my friend,
Time catches up with you.

Refrain:
You are the captain of your fate, your only master’s you
Don’t ever let yourself regret the things you didn’t do

What a nice, clever lyric, moving between the specific and the generic! Sounds like a salty song!

Very nice! Concise, cohesive, with simple, consistent imagery. Sings off the page. Smile

Uplifting message and a good reminder for all of us.

Gotta reach for those things you want.

Fortune favors the bold!

very short ,nice and tidy, and to the point! but leaves a breadth of images.
Well done! I'm a big fan of bathroom art Smile

Appreciated the transition from the very precise, imperfect opening scene to the broader idea of exploring the world and being the best you could be.

The cadence is absolutely flawless - the words flow like the smooth cascade of water from a broken sink :P

Love all the images in this write and really great message.

Refrain is my kinda lyric! Love the philosophical slant to it! A life's message we all should heed in our otherside time
