It Makes Sense

When I was a child I listened
To wisdom that my father would dispense
It made no sense.

Later on, livin' large
Havin' fun and sparing no expense
It made no sense

Sense is what you have to learn
By fallin' down and gettin' burned
Scarred by the world and all its offense
Put it in the past tense

Lately I just take it slow
My life is not nearly so intense
That makes more sense

When I was a child I listened
To wisdom that my father would dispense
Now it makes sense.
It makes sense.

Beautifully told, sang and played true story. Very lovely take on skirmish. Brilliant song and demo. Love the sentiment and the delivery.

I really love the approach you took to this. The chorus is wonderful in its message and the verses are lovely snippets of examples that feel warm and honest. The music is wonderful. Love the country vibe. Brilliant skirmish!

Chuckle twice before even hitting the chorus...Yeah, my life is less intense for sure. All of that could change though with the right woman and frankly, they don't exist. Ah, finally we admit that father knows best. I'm ready for the audio now...hold. guitar...sounds country...vocals now...can clearly understand the made no sense.....sense is what you have to learn....sounds good...good melody...pretty snappy guitar playing...lately I just take it it makes sense it makes sense...guitar outro...very nice.
