Collaborators:

Liner Notes:

This track has been cookin' since July. Donnie and I were kind of back and forth on this one. Mix is a little off in my opinion. We got G 2Slade in the mix which was more than super great in my book. Spit game is still fire! This will definitely get some fine tuning.

More late night club action here, but with a bit of a twist. The idea is to want more than just what's on the surface. Seriously.

How we did it:
Recorded and mixed using Studio One Professional.
Virtual bass, Hammond organ: CTS
TJF_Afterdark: Drum programming, various keys, FX, sampling and freaky voices
G 2Slade: Rap game

Lyrics:

HOOK
What yo body do
I can't help but stare
At the way U do
Just moving like - damn!
2 this sexy groove
Make a brother just, just, just...

V
U got me contemplatin'
About my situation
I'm thinking I'm about 2 explode
U got me perpetratin'
Like there's no stimulation
2 unleash on U this load

B
U is sexy baby
All the way live
U is fire honey
Flames almost kiss the sky
I'ma B like - wassup, wassup, wassup
Baby what's your name?

HOOK
What yo body do
I can't help but stare
At the way U do
Just moving like - damn!
2 this sexy groove
Make a brother just, just, just...

V
U got me fixated
The way U're pixelated
U just keep on blowing my mind
Sometimes I'm irritated
The way U're penetrated
If it were me I'd B more kind

B
U is sexy baby
All the way live
U is fire honey
Flames almost kiss the sky
I'ma B like - wassup, wassup, wassup
Baby what's your name?

HOOK
What yo body do
I can't help but stare
At the way U do
Just moving like - damn!
2 this sexy groove
Make a brother just, just, just...

R
Can I get that consent 2 blow your mind
I won't creep up, sneak up from behind
Let me show my respects and watch U dance
How U movin' groovin' in those pants
Like daaannnng, don't cuss,
No fuss, no muss, I must,
Call U tonight, can I get those digits
Be your IT guy, program your widgets
Like my oh, my, U on the dance floor
Like Pine Sol shine
Girl let me help with that shake n' bake
Cause U a six point nine Richter earthquake
Makin' thanks bang fallin' off the wall
Makin' every man wish he was six foot tall
Can I be your ally, I support the cause
G Slade is out like hashtag BOSS

I'd give anything 2 get 2 see U
I'd show U that I'm anything but crazy
I don't wanna see u the way others do
I just...I just want U know

I really love this! Such a s great feel and love that vocal change up between verses and chorus. Really awesome bottom groove in that chorus. Sexy fun dance music!

That works on many levels.
(Didn't use headphones to listen, -- worked well enough on PC speakers; knowing can be wonky and not the Track.)

It's one, one can work in a set (of covers), and hope folks ask, "what's that"? Wink

- Side note, one thing I am noticing is for tracks to play well on PC, Phone, etc., speakers, it takes massive (as I define it) compression with the in/out carefully considered. So, actually, when I hear a track on a, e.g., PC and sounds "all over the place" for mix, fwd/bak, I put on the Headphones figuring the Dynamics are there for the fidelity of a headphone, or sound system. But, that's just an amateur thinking out load, and still trying to qualify the diff gear folks listen with, and feedback meaning. To bad more folks don't understand the differences, even semi-pros, -- and then I ask, using your iPhone again to preview? Wink or muddy ear buds with bass-boost on! ...

Again, -- original, well done.

The first bridge sounds quite nice as well as the "mind"/"kind" vocal decisions - excellent vocals.
Overall this made Cameo pop up in my mind for some reason. I'm not even sure I've ever heard such a thing in a Cameo song, but @g2slade's verses immediately plopped them into my mind. Perhaps its something in his voice's character. In any event, its a refreshing call back to those kinds of tracks like Word Up, etc...good sexy fun-loving thick r&b/funk.
The music is high-energy and doesn't rest on its laurels, has nice changes and transitions - keeps the listener engaged.
Perfect vocal stylings to match up with the vibe of the music throughout.
You all have this genre down. Solid old school r&b/funk by all parties involved.
