No One Fears
Susan Cantey © 2019

No one fears the rain
as it taps on our windowpane
But the wind and the water from a hurricane
washes everything away

No one fears the sun
when it dances on the lawn
But when it’s high in the sky every day,
it burns all the wheat away

Fear not, Jesus pleads
If you hear my voice, run to me
Come to me; come to the light
I will give you eternal life

No one fears the wrath of God
who has Jesus as their Lord
For we’ve built our house on the rock and
not on sinking sand

Choose today,
whom you will serve
As for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord

Fear not, Jesus pleads
If you hear my voice, run to me
Come to me; come to the light
I will give you eternal life

another beautiful hymn. the first two verses are complete in themselves but the connection between them and the devotional verses that follow could be strengthened. i dont like to make suggestions on anothers work, but feel that a final verse that reprises the initial idea in christian context is an option worthy of consideration.

I agree that it doesn't all connect well...I almost put that in the comments.

Really nice – lovely piano, good melody and really good vocals. I really like the harmony parts in the chorus.

The piano, melody and vocals are beautiful as are the harmonies. I like the direction of the lyrics. Makes for soothing listening.

this is beautifully sung and played, I love the contrast of the simple elements and their more harmful forms.
