Lyrics:

Room Above A Honky Tonk

My room is right above a honky tonk
My window view outside suits me just fine
I don’t feed a dime into the jukebox
Cause they play Hank Williams songs all the time

Rumpled shirts and crumpled bags of Cheetos
Spread on the bed where they’re a sad disgrace
My room above a honky tonk vetos
Any rejection of an ideal place

(Instrumental)

Window panes are dirty, streaks everywhere
That handbag on the floor holds all I own
I can’t hold her anymore though I care
My room above a honky tonk is home

Oh, I know I’m never gonna forget
That for a time she was mine, mine alone
I know I’ll be forever in regret
In my room above a honky tonk home

(Instrumental)

My room is right above a honky tonk
My window view outside suits me just fine
I don’t feed a dime into the jukebox
Cause they play Hank Williams songs all the time

Window panes are dirty, streaks everywhere
That handbag on the floor holds all I own
I can’t hold her anymore though I care
My room above a honky tonk is home

I remember a time like that, it kinda sucked, and then kinda really didn't, too Smile

When I moved from NC to NJ I first purchased (literally) 1/2 of a 60-something Chevy Pickup, pinched it's frame, normally under the Cab together, and welded a Trailer Hitch on it (broke twice in my trip, hahhh). That 1/2 PU bed (filled) was pulled by a '65 Ford PU Long Bed (filled) with a Black Lab in the Passenger Seat, and anything in the world I owned, loved.

The "CB" (radio Wink ) ranged from complementary to not so much, -- "some hillbilly moving north, again" hahhh. Not really.
