Liner Notes:

I've been unwell for several weeks this summer with a middle ear infection so Gwyn has kindly been putting music to my lyrics. The title was a prompt for me to write to.

Lyrics:

NOTHING TO SEE HERE (Cooper/Jones)
(c) All Rights Reserved 2019

Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ to see here
Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ but me here
And I’m the same as I was yesterday
No good for you I heard you say
Woh hoh hoh

Love was once alive
But now she’s gone
Like a spring bird
Who gave up singing her song
The days tumbled as I waited for you
I coulda saved myself a day or two

Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ to see here
Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ but me here
And I’m the same as I was yesterday
No good for you I heard you say
Woh hoh hoh

Oh light once shone here
But now it’s growing dark
As winter takes it`s hold
Over my heart
I pinned my hopes all onto you
I shoulda saved myself a wish or two

Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ to see here
Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ but me here
And I’m the same as I was yesterday
No good for you I heard you say
Woh hoh hoh

Where flowers grew here
Now they fail to bloom
As fertile ground
Turns barren in the gloom
To keep my mind from wondering
My weeping eyes from wandering
Woh hoh hoh

Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ to see here
Move along, move along
There’s nothin’ but me here
And I’m the same as I was yesterday
No good for you I heard you say
Woh hoh hoh

Beautiful song and collaboration. The music and lyrics go brilliantly together as if they were written in the same place. Love the vibes. Fantastic music, lyrics, singing and playing and very cool demo. Hope you feel better soon Georgie x

Wow! Well done - lyrics and music marriage. So sorry you've been unwell. Hope you're on the road to recovery.

Cool retro feel in the music and especially in the panning which is straight from the early stereo recordings hard left/right. Nice singing and the chorus is quite catchy and the lyrics are very singable and smooth. I enjoy the convincing retro minor pop feel of the music that is done with skill and good taste.

Yup really nice one. Got that early sixties Peter and Gordon feel. Very nice indeed

Bummer, sorry to hear about your ear problem...that sucks. Ok, well I'm glad your back and take a listen to Gwyn work with your lyrics. I know he's a great lyrics writer too.

Looking at the lyrics...catchy chorus and especially like woh hoo hoo. Oh wow, the first verse is pretty sad. The second verse is troubling too but that's the nature of country music I guess. I can't help but think about your health problem but I'll try to keep that out of my lyrics evaluation. Last verse continues to be very sad. Again though, that's what country music is. The tag says Bossanova but I really don't know that genre and imagine it is blues too. I'm ready for the audio now...hold. Nice Bossanova music...vocals now...sounds good...can clearly understand the lyrics...harmony vocals...nice guitar riff fills...catchy tune...very good melody...guitar riff again...very good vocals...lyrics work well with this music...woh hoo hoo...guitar riff solo now...sounds great...good mix...hear congas or bongos...lift now on the vocals...works nicely...my weeping eyes from wondering...very catchy move along move along theres nothing to see here. Ok, it's over. Oustanding performance Gwyn and a terrific collab.
