Liner Notes:

I am trying to say things *differently* because all this writing is starting to blend together....so just trying out different phrases and stuff here....this one is supposed to be light and fun! Biggrin

Lyrics:

HOLD ON TO YOUR MOJO

What do you do
When bad luck comes to play
And winds whip you around
And your dreams fly away

Can you hold on
When you slip on the snow
Or your shoes won’t stay tied
And you hear the word no

There’s always your will and a way so

[ch]
Swing high, swing low
Swing past the divides
And hold onto your mojo
Think fast, think slow
Think today is your last
Wherever you go go
Hold onto your mojo

What do you do
When your hopes hear you crying
And your plans fall like prey
Being chased by a lion

Can you get up
Shake it off and be proud
You are part of a plan
Why not sing it out loud

It’s time for your heart to be heard so

[ch]
Swing high, swing low
Swing past the divides
And hold onto your mojo
Think fast, think slow
Think today is your last
Wherever you go go
Hold onto your mojo

[br]
No one else is quite like you
No one else will ever come close
Don’t leave this world without doing your best
And firing it thru the shadows

There’s always a will and a way so

Repeat ch

This has a great message delivered by use of string contrasting couplets in the chorus and the empowering chorus. The bridge is perfect. I hope someone will put it to music.

You did light and airy up good. So creative and that bridge is perfect! Please let me know when you get music

Nice lyric with lots of good technical qualities – the close structural match between verse 1 and 2, and the parallels in the chorus with the three “swings” in the first part, balanced by the “thinks” in the second part. Good rhyming throughout.
