Liner Notes:

This one came out of left field, for no reason really. I am not entirely sure that I knitted it together as well as I may, -- as I go, down the road.

There was a bunch of "generic" ? isms flying round my head, and for some reason NO, LA isms too. So, in the pub dom thing which has been dormant a while I figured I stir a pot of disparate lyrics and see if could be knit together in some useful way, maybe not fused as it is here, -- previously.

Musication will be the "question", pentatonic 1-4-5 isms, orleans-jazz rag-time isms, or other or not sure it can be blended or maybe the Lyrics carries it somehow, with a droned musication, -- somehow.

I try to research first but not get "talked out of it" too Smile hahhh... so now went back and varified my initial search. The songs under various names and misprints/misspellings are based upon old idiomatic phrases then put to music for a catchy song and expanded. So, the actually entire song, *version is their copyright song, but, as many do not, don't cite origins if/since not the core idea in total, known not to be their own. This seems as the most relevant interview, direct and cites the origins of "phrases" then put to music. Back in "those days", while CR fights did exist and over this song, it's first version and then second with Partnership was part of the resolution, many just "put stuff out", -- period and don't even cite "writers" in some/many instances. So, one does need to engage some "due diligence" that per the Internet would otherwise be a full time job under a CR Attorneys office, -- free to us and very convenient so should be readily engaged.

Like many gingle house "TV Commercials", the phrases are idiomatic colloquialisms - and we all should be so lucky Smile

So, again, I knitted a few direct and very subtle elements that are the chunkings of idomatic phrases and even structures..., however most don't cite the 1-4-5 progression as "pub dom"... so not doing that, just covering any in the know who may wonder cliche, -- since not yet musicated.

(As Bill has commented now, -- it may not follow the blues structure as laid out... indeed, a droned backing was haunting my mind as I posted it and commented Smile )

Lyrics:

If-she-keeps-cry'in, no peace will be had
If-she-keeps-cry'in, no peace will be had
If no peach be had, it's war we go'in to have

Wicked peace, keeps the cry'in, cry'in, going on
Wicked peace, keeps the cry'in, cry'in, going on
Yeah keep the cry'in going on, and on, and on, keep the cry'in going on

No peace no peace no..., don't it make you feel sad
When all your try'ing to do..., is find your way mad
And you don't know no one..., don't know one glad...

If you fly to Chicago, got no work for you
If you fly to Jackson, got no work for you
If you fly to Oz, all they got is work, but no pay when do

Well you know cryin' won't help you, prayin' do you no good
Well..., know cryin' won't help, an' pray'in do no good
So if cryin' won't help, play'in their-way-good, be good, be good

If the peace does come, be ready for your work to do
So, if peace does come, be ready for your work to do
Yeah, if the peace does come, be ready for your work to do

Ena! Ena! Hey! Hey!
Akout, Akout an deye
Listen, Listen, all of you
Chaque amoor fi nou, wa na né
Chaque amoor, fi na né
All the love we now want
Is all the love we get
All the love we now want
Is all the love we get...

If-she-keeps-cry'in, no peace will be had
If-she-keeps-cry'in, no peace will be had
If no peach be had, it's only war we only go'in to have

pretty cool word play . lyrics follow a blues structure. doesnt mean the music has to,
