Skirmish prompt: Unseen

Lyrics:

Unseen and Unheard

V1
standing at their windows
golden sunlight in their hair
eyes focused on horizons
searching everywhere
reaching out for new love
everyplace but here
wanting to find magic
they hoped could be there

C
unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured
will love stop or start
from seeds in their hearts?

unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured
will love die or grow
from dreams they now hold?
ohh...oh....

V2
their eyes scanned oceans
searching distant shores
longing for love’s depths
knowing there was more
yielding to passions
they could not ignore
dreaming about beauty
of lovers they’d adore

C
unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured
will love stop or start
from seeds in their hearts?

unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured
will love die or grow
from dreams they now hold?
ohh...oh....

B
our hearts are full of secrets
we think are unseen and unheard
but to those who see through our windows
we don’t need to say a word...

C
unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured
will love stop or start
from seeds in their hearts?

unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured
will love die or grow
from dreams they now hold?
ohh...oh....

aw this is a sweet take on the skirmish. Triggers an image of lovers staring in the distance in the general direction of each other across some great divide.

Beautiful, magical lyrics Liz. I read them when I saw your posting with the link but your link isn't taking to your lyrics. I've posted your link on forum but you might like to adjust it so that people find it easily: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/song/39431
I find your lyrics almost connect with my instrumental skirmish apart from the ending part.

This is an interesting way of looking at an age old situation. Funnily enough I was watching a programme about Johnny Cash and June Carter this afternoon, and this song just about sums up their relationship before they actually 'got together' years later.
Gotta love that line "but to those who see through our windows" - it's just so perfect right there Smile

Very well done. You manage so many words so quickly! Nice story so often repeated. And yes a great bridge

"unseen and unheard
hidden and obscured" is a very cool couplet. You tell the story in a subtle way without losing focus. Good write.

Looking at the lyrics...ah, v1 shows them looking in the wrong place...nice. Chorus...catchy hook unseen and unheard. Also, very nice will love stop or start from seeds in their hearts. V2 brings in an ocean visual...love that. Also, yielding to passions they could not ignore...very nice. Dreaming about beauty...another nice visual. Open for interpretation of course. Nice bridge exposing the heart cannot hide. I like the words "secrets" and "windows". I forgot the ooh..oh at the end of the chorus...very nice. Great skirmish!

What great lyrics and in such a short amount of time! Great work

I can picture these characters, on opposite sides of a great divide. Good use of rhyme - makes this one quite singable, I would imagine. Nice skirmishing!

love the feeling of being poised on the start of something unknown. i also really like the bridge in particular and the echo of the window theme. nice skirmish!

Can't believe you poured so much out in a single skirmish! A great sense of teetering on the edge of something here.
