Liner Notes:

TC: I wrote a lyric and happened to talk to Amanda in the chatroom. After describing them she took them and did amazing things. Sent back the acoustic and vocal tracks so I extended it some and added the lead bits and the bridge bit. I like how this turned out very much.

Adnama17: TC's lyrics were already so well done, I just had to massage them a bit to fit the melody, which was extremely difficult to record, btw. (Who write melodies with jumps like that!? Golly!) And it was like he was describing exactly how I've felt lately. Extremely hard to write and record around a such a personal topic, but necessary in my opinion, for all of us. Please reach out if you feel like this. Lots of resources online, and you can get a hold of me anytime. I mean that with all my heart. <3

Lyrics:

V1
Morning came again
Much to my surprise
Burst into my shadow
Insisting I survive

Morning came again
Came as quite a shock
Fueled by pills and alcohol
I thought I had a lock

C
So I guess I'll take a look around
Take a look around
And see what I can find
No idea what the hell to do
Don’t know what to do
With all my new found time
'Cause morning came again

V2
Morning came again
Showed up all alone
Rude and unwelcomed guest
My plans have been postponed

Morning came again
Demanding that I wake
Morning doesn't know me well
For I will simply wait

C
So I guess I'll take a look around
Take a look around
And see what I can find
No idea what the hell to do
Don’t know what to do
With all my new found time
'Cause morning came again

B
Morning came again
Morning came again
Why’d you come again?
Just want the pain to go
Morning came again
Then the day slipped by
And the darkness fell
My last day I suppose
Unless morning comes again

Will you come again?
Please come again
Please come
Morning come again

Morning came again
Much to my surprise

This is rather dark, indeed. But that ending shows that the narrator isn't *quite* ready to give up yet. Great melody, adnama, and great collab work both of you!

utterly hypnotic the performance gripped me just as sure as the depression clutching the narrator.. i like how the melody carries on intently without providing any release, and the vocal never veered off the course. the lyric is excellent, with the morning came again refrain gaining in intensity every time it came around. an intensity felt by the listener, not affected by the singer, who delivers each line with a calm determination. what a perfect line to slam home the theme..

This is really awesome! I love the buzz and haunting feeling of the lead guitar juxtaposed with the great driving rhythm. The melody is gorgeous and so beautifully delivered with such emotional soaring vocals. Perfect for the great lyrics! Great change up between sections.

I like the contrast of the darkness of the lead guitar and sad lyrics with the deceptively sweet sound of the acoustic guitar, and it works really well where the song breaks into the heavier part at the end. Love the up and down melody in the chorus and the smokiness of the vocals. Great performances from both of you!

These lyrics are incredibly sad and despondent and truly make me feel like life is a nuisance we all could be done with, I think this is very nice actually, I enjoy this sort of writing. The melody accompanies this feeling but it's quite infectious and catchy as these feeling normally are, which is also amazing. The rock break in the middle reminded me of evanescence which is a band I adore to this day, topped with the incredible vocal performance I say this is a very nice dark track. It truly deserves the goth stamp!

This is a beautiful piece, you two. There's a darkness to the story that is captured perfectly by the music. I really, really enjoyed this one! Smile

The guitar chords drew me in, the vocals kept me here, the lyrics engaged me.
So very well written. I tend to like songs that aren't so obvious, where the lyrics make you think about what's being said. Other times, I just like to tune out and mindlessly listen to the melodies of whatever is being said. This gives me both, as the vocal melody is doing things that appeal to me very much. It was worth the work put in.
When the drums come in, the entire piece radiates emotion even more than it already had been.
Arrangement, writing, vocal and musical performance...so well done.
Great, great track.

Nice job, y'all. I like "morning came again" as the pivot for everything. Good metaphor for survival, every time morning comes is another chance, I guess.

Love the build around 3:00 and on, big rock sound works for me. The whole ending works for me, with the drop back to the acoustic and vocal. Really nice listen. I love that breath at the end, as if there's more. But there's not.

Looking at the lyrics...wow, the lyrics in v1 are pretty heavy indeed. I read the liner notes and starting to get it clearly now. Chorus reminds me of where I have been, even recently. Hmmm....Ok, I've had severe depression for a long time and started this year's challenge wonder how the hell to get rid of my equipment as I won't need it anymore. Yes, it was that bad. Anti Depressants, anxiety medicine, therapy, and a lot of support pulled me out of my funk. It really is quite stunning what I have done this year in the challenge. Ok, let's get back to the song. v2 somebody came to the rescue. Bridge continues to build on the event. Hmmm...and like I said I got the support that I needed and I did have to ask and people stepped up. Pretty sad but touching lyrics. I'm ready for the audio now...hold. Guitar intro...moody guitar melody....vocals now...sounds good...can clearly understand the lyrics...morning came again...pills and alcohol...Chorus now...good singing and melody...lead guitar riff again...nice sounding acoustic guitar instrument strumming. Take a look around...see what I can find....what the hell to do with my new...time...drums kicking in and grunge guitar...didn't expect that...solo now...sounds good...acoustic guitar back now...morning came again much to my surprise...and out. Very nice enjoyed it...as I was about to cry. Country rock I think.

I was hooked in right away - that is some purposeful, set-the-tone guitar.
Soulful, gripping, lovely vocal that totally fits the music and words. Excellent collab!

Really great track. The electric guitar really drew me in. The hook of "morning came again" is really rather powerful. Really well done, both.
