Liner Notes:

I've been reading the novel 'Daisy Jones & The Six' and somehow it inspired this.

Lyrics:

When you think of me
Do you think of my hair in curls?
Do you think of that gold Toyota
Late nights and dancing girls

Do you think of dead daisies
Dropping their heads on the window sill?
Did you stop thinking of me?
Do you think you ever will?

CHORUS:
Charlie, it’s been years
Not a damn thing’s changed, not a damn thing’s changed
I’m sitting here bored to tears
Everything disarranged, all disarranged
And I just wanna go back and be
Who I am when you think of me

When you think of me
Do you think of rock n roll?
Do you think of loud guitars
And stale Coors at the Hollywood Bowl?

Do you ever wake up late
Sweat damp in your cotton sheets
And see it was me in there
Running wild when your mind was asleep?

CHORUS:
Charlie, it’s been years
Not a damn thing’s changed, not a damn thing’s changed
I’m sitting here bored to tears
Everything disarranged, all disarranged
And I just wanna go back and be
Who I am when you think of me

That chorus expressing the desire to recapture the lost. Reminds me of a lot of people. Oh I hope this one gets developed and can only imagine the big sound.

I enjoy the complexities of your characters. This one seems like she's having a fantasy of Charlie having a fantasy of her. Like a hall of mirrors effect on me. I love the verse of the sweat in the cotton sheets, yes a fantasy of someone's fantasy about me. too cool!
