Liner Notes:

I wanted to write sometime about a long time love that was sad. This lyric morphed so many times as I was writing it, that it's now totally different that the first chorus and first verse I wrote. And yet, this you see below grew out of the previous incarnation that I can't even remember.

Collab would be nice Smile Please read the collab info on my profile page Smile

Lyrics:

V1
When the spring arrives
I live in hope that you will see me here
And fall in love with me another time
Instead I crawl back into fear

V2
In the summertime
People smiling everywhere I look
As I go back and think of you each day
I wonder how much I mistook

chorus
And baby you should know I care
I miss you so
I spend my time in sad despair
I'll never go
I'll never preach and never judge
But know you are my only drug, my love

V3
In the fall of life
I'm nothing but an empty shell that's left
Still hope and pray that you'll come back to me
So close in dreams I feel your breath

V4
When winter comes
The frozen air is how I feel in life
Not moving, stuck emotions dead
I need to cut them open with a knife

chorus
And baby you should know I care
I miss you so
I spend my time in sad despair
I'll never go
I'll never preach and never judge
But know you are my only drug, my love

Bridge
Thinking of moving on
Away from this addiction
A love that's now obsession
Isn't real
It isn't real

But

chorus
Baby you should know I care
I miss you so
I spend my time in sad despair
I'll never go
I'll never preach and never judge
But know you are my only drug, my love

Oooh this is good! I love how you wove all the seasons into it! Please let me know if you get a collaboration on this!

I too like how the story spans the seasons as each one incorporates so much emotion. Really heartfelt lines in the chorus. This is a cool line: So close in dreams I feel your breath. I can relate to a lyric morphing while writing and not knowing exactly where it came from! Happens all the time! lol It's funny how words take a shape and form all their own!!

Yeah sucker for seasonal songs as well! This is a good one. Cracking chorus to blast out and a well structured bridge.
