Way out west
New Mexico way
Was an old cowboy
In his Lincoln coupe

Far and wide
He could see
There was not
A single tree

Nothing standing
In the way
Flat as a pancake
One might say

He traveled east
But soon passed out
Took a bucket of dust
To bring him about

As a poem, this is complete in itself. As a song, I want to hear what happens next. Of course, with music by someone like Technicolor Gramaphone, it could make quit a mystifying song as it stands..
