Liner Notes:

A small tribute to starry August nights, Zappa, motown ballads and beyond.

Lyrics:

Emily opened her wings
flew above a lot of those material things
moved to a new location
helped create the new generation

George was subliminally around
experienced in making sounds
music was his only passion
in a small village in Russia

C
They met on a party island
Hm E7
half way between Greece and Ireland
Am
they danced and misbehaved
being young and brave

their story got in the news
tropical journalists seducing them with booze
they drank them under the table
listening to Peter Gabriel

And every night if you look at the sky
you see Em & George nebula-ing by
there's no end there's no beginning
to an fine starry August evening

C
They met on a party island
Hm E7
half way between Greece and Ireland
Am
they danced and misbehaved
being young and brave

your lyrics are really cool here! i like the speed up slow down style and from sing to talk - lots of cool signposts, people places. really good one

nice ballad of emily and george told in a mutated form of doo wop. the near rhymes are excellent, i espectially like rhyming table with peter gabriel.

Oh this deep deep voice, the song could be horrible and it would be worthy it. But it is not, it feels rather mythic, a love that goes to the stars. Congrats

Good and little bit poetic story. I can definitely hear some Zappa in the lyrics but this is also very romantic in a sincere way too. Fresh rhyming and lovely invention in "nebulating" and in "George was subliminally around". I can hear piano playing those chords in a doo-wop style and somebody wailing in high falsetto. Smile

This is like Jake Thackeray collaborating with Frank Zappa. That first name probably don't mean anything to you, but the guy was a complete original like Zappa. So it's meant as a compliment. I really enjoyed this.
Rhyming table and Peter Gabriel was an unexpected delight.
