So Many Years, So Many Tears

Liner Notes:

Rough draft lyric that was one of those "I just want to flow out" sessions. Not sure where the thoughts came from, but a few lines could be autobiographical, and then many others aren't.
Such is the creative muse Smile

Lyrics:

v1
Where am I going to
With summer greens surrounding me
I'm not even sure I know
Where I've been before

v2
How many hearts are there
Left beside the way I travelled
Trodden into dust beneath
My scarlet soft soled tears

pre ch
And then I cry, into my waiting hands

chorus
Burning down my cheeks
Filling up my soul
Drowning in my misery
Waiting in the sidelines for my deathblow
There are so many years, so many tears
So many years, so many tears

v3
Did I do something so
awful and so very wrong
Have I been so bad
I didn't even see

pre ch
And then I cry, into my waiting hands

chorus
Burning down my cheeks
Filling up my soul
Drowning in my misery
Waiting in the sidelines for my deathblow
There are so many years, so many tears
So many years, so many tears

I really like the line “How many hearts are there left beside the way I travelled.” Can’t wait to see where this goes.
