Liner Notes:

I don't pretend to be an expert in pronouns, but I wanted to sing a little song to help teach my son about them when he's a bit older. The main thing I want to get across is that every person is different, and unique... and we should love, respect, and cherish that uniqueness.

Lyrics:

You know that dogs go bark and that cats meow
You know your ABCs, and counting is easy now

But pronouns are sneaky and harder to learn,
Because they come from deep inside, they’re not easy to discern

Chorus
There’s him and he, she and her, and also they and them
I know that it’s tricky, so let’s review again
Him, he, she, her, they, them and Ze
Everybody is unique, even you and me

We often use pronouns every single day,
Sometimes we mix up the pronouns that we say.

If you use a pronoun and find out it was wrong,
Say you’re sorry, and use the pronoun they were all along.

Chorus

There are even more pronouns than I’ve sung,
We’re still learning, but this is lesson one

To treat other humans like how you would want to be
Don’t judge, don’t question their uniqueness or their right to be:

Him and he, She and her, or they and them
We might forget, so let’s review again
Him, he, she, her, they, them and Ze
Everybody is unique, even you and me
Everybody is unique, and has a right to be

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.
