Liner Notes:

Klaus says: Another nice romantic lyric from Kristi. Thank you, Kristi, for this collaboration. It was a pleasure and still is. Even though the lyrics seem a bit pessimistic I'm pretty sure they will fix things. Smile It's way past midnight now so I'll think I'll hit the hay now.

Kristi says: Thank you, Klaus, for bringing this to life! Terrific interpretation! I will say in general, consider also (for the story) that perhaps nothing has been decided at the moment in time of the song.......a snapshot if you will...But anyone can interpret it any way they do and that's how it will be. Biggrin

Lyrics:

OH NO

We disagreed
Had a fight
Sometimes things
Don’t go right

Though we need
Time to think
We both know
This silence stings

[ch]
Oh no
If we let it go too long
Life will be all wrong
Oh no
The sun has ducked behind the clouds
Cuz we can’t figure things out
Oh no, Oh no

Is our love
Solid stone
Big and bold
Deep in our bones

Are we now
Casualties
Sparks too hot
For apologies

[ch]
Oh no
If we let it go too long
Life will be all wrong
Oh no
The sun has ducked behind the clouds
Cuz we can’t figure things out
Oh no, Oh no

[br]
I would cross the stormy sea
But right now it’s so hard to breathe
Soon hours turn into days then months
Before we know it, our love will be gone

[ch]
Oh no
If we let it go too long
Life will be all wrong
Oh no
The sun has ducked behind the clouds
Cuz we can’t figure things...
we can’t figure things out
Oh no, Oh no

Really cool. Very different Klaus - I did think the lyric was good but more pessimistic than you did. I like the way you musically made hope in the scenario. good job both of you

one thing i love about pop songs is that a simple phrase like oh no can be so memorable, another excellent collab resulting in a perfect pop song. klaus being an ace singer doesnt hurt things at all.

As always, Kristi’s lyrics are so spot on and capture the challenges of a relationship so beautifully and poetically and Klaus’s gorgeous emotive rock ballad is perfect. Love the sound and instrumental choices. Great vocals and phrasing.

Really nice tune, Klaus; and a great lyric by Kristi. Splendid collab, you two!

What a beautiful song! So many things to love here - the lyrics, the chord progression, the melody, the instrument choices, the vocals throughout but especially singing “Oh no” in such an expressive way. This is one of those songs I’ll be replaying and singing in my head.

Looking at the lyrics...ah, the first section set the scene perfectly. The chorus now shows the panic and works very nicely. The next section is speculation on if this relationship is going to fall apart...very nice. The bridge builds more on the general idea. Chorus and out...great job on this Kristi. I'm ready for the audio now...hold. Nice keys opening...vocals now...sound good...good melody. Chorus now...sounds great...great melody and lyrics. Nice movement on the oh no. Drums kicking in now...sounds very good Klaus...good mix. Chorus again...I think this is the best part. Love that rise on the oh no. Changeup into the bridge now...chorus again now...nice full demo. Nice ending. Great job by both, I like it a lot.

Wow, awesome vocal, Klaus! Jeez, really great job. Wonderful lyrics, as always, Krist. Really a fantastic job on this musically and vocally--those lyrics obviously really inspired you!

Lovely electric piano. The mix of lead and background vocals on the chorus works so well ... melodic and beautiful, and reminiscent of the best of the 60s and 70s. Love the jazzy break at the two-minute mark.
