For the songfight title: Young Buck
Due 26 July 2019

Lyrics:

She got herself a young buck
Who loves to hold her hand
I wonder if he loves her
The way I no longer can

She can't believe her good luck
Says he's young but he's true
He makes her feel so beautiful
She feels it the whole night through

And she's glad he came along
Never points out when she's wrong
She doesn't have to act the part
Like she did with me

I wonder if she thinks about
All the times we'd scream and shout
I wonder if she ever remembers
The good times she had with me
with me

She found herself a young buck

She got herself a young buck
He's exactly what she needs
That young boy will go anywhere
Anywhere she leads

And she's glad he came along
Never points out when she's wrong
She doesn't have to act the part
Like she did with me

I wonder if she thinks about
All the times we'd scream and shout
I wonder if she ever remembers
The good times she had with me
with me

She found herself a young buck

Loved the arrangement idea with the band crashing in at the end of the first verse.

The tune has that instantly familiar feel I associate with heartland rock/Americana. Hope you go far in the SongFight!

Wow, what an awesome song. On my second listen, so very great. I love it.

these are some sly lyrics, gently letting us know the girl is making a big mistake.,,also that the young buck is pretty much a fool. i like the way your hook line falls into place and those guitar lines that follow are subline

"the younger woman" story is more common so it's fun to hear about the opposite. Energetic Americana feel to it. Enjoyable listen.

I sure do like those guitars. Cool sound to this song. I like the build. Nice arrangement. With the phrase young buck, I'm really glad you didn't also throw in the word cougar. That would have taken away from the female character I think. Nicely written.
