Liner Notes:

Poring at my list of ideas nothing was jumping out with inspiration so I put perspiration and randomness to work. I played and repeated with variations a random chord progression with a slide. Added a C harmonica and kids wood xylophone. Then still with no emergent lyric ideas I went to lyric cloud and typed in "traffic", "Louie", and "Henry" (added Simone) to generate three word lists and used them.

Lyrics:

Wow, this is so cool! I love the mix of instruments and the stark lyrics. Nice one!

Cool indeed, I know you did this kind of randomly, just to come up with something, but sometimes that's the way we produce really interesting stuff, isn't it? Being a big Syd Barrett fan, it reminds me of a song of his called "Word Song", plus he was also know to sing about bicycles, too. I would like to do something similarly off-the-wall, get out of the acoustic guitar/vocal/conventional structured songs rut. Thanks of the inspiration!

Ooh, I love me some randomness!
I'm loving the harmonica drone contrasted with the busy xylophone.
I like the almost surreal lyrics that nevertheless paint a coherent picture.
Yeah, a worthy experiment for sure.

After forgetting what I JUST read in your liner notes - the oddest scene developed in my mind. I don't know if you've seen Hunger Games, but there's a scene where everyone is gathered in like the town square or whatever, and someone is reading off names of people that will compete in the actual hunger games. This song was making a similar scene build in my head - but it was just a bunch of office workers (I think because I just listened to 'Sitting In A Building On A Tuesday') in a big conference room, while some stiff read off these words which were some sort of assignments for the day or something... (trust me, I'm not on drugs) lol
BUT, then I re-read the title of the song and your liner - and then I totally got the traffic visuals and how all these words associated with that.
Anyway, enough rambling...another thought provoking piece of art that took me away from this mundane day for just a moment.
