Demo:

Liner Notes:

Formerly Lyrics-only, now musicated.

Also, now I feel I need to *Tag it as what it was and how it came to be a song, -- it's a "political" song, how you folks here define it. Therefore now, it may makes more sense, or sense at all Smile (you'll go, "oohhhh, now I see...", maybe).

=============================================
So this is the track I finally got time to actually "record the song", -- the original "demo" was literally the write-while-recording track and explains the ahead of/behind -beat stuff, etc.

Old liner note:
This was done the other day, waiting to actually "record" it, -- I was recording while pushing out chords for it; since unable to rerecord *yet, (so busy), just *figured out what chords I used Smile hahhh, and did a chop and hide track (what I call it).

Bounce track #1, record while writing, and overdub to hide Smile

-- I had no chance of re-recording it, so could only chop, and overdub to hide until can more simply re-do, re-sing it. I can direct into mix do anything but voice/mic; with the weather like this, everyone is inside... O M G! (*hot *weather outside here, you?)

For this song, the Key for voice mattered allot!, or was otherwise really dull. If I could sing another octave up, I'd've pushed it in the dynamics.

Lyrics:

Spring fades into winter and autumns of discontent
But does give way to the blades and tinder of new peppermint
The pregnant dove, she gave birth
And just in time for the new growth spirt

It's a time to resurrect, and reconstruct
A time to move beyond to what's next not duck,
We stand still, wrapped in time
And like grapes, give up our whine, uhhhh oh ...

So sweep out the old, and the new cold
Mold the new spring rain mud, into the
Clay of your new day
Give up your winter clothes

Spring fades into winter and autumns of discontent
Spring gave into summer it's winter tough
Soon the ground prepares..., what's buried now deep
For next years, brand, new, heep

It's a time to resurrect, time to reconstruct
Time to move beyond to what's next not duck,
We stand still wrapped in time
And like grapes, give up our whine

// //
So sweep out the old, and the new cold
Mold the new spring rain mud
Into the clay of your new day

I think my fav line is
"Mold the new spring rain mud, into the
Clay of your new day".
The whole song paints a clear picture of the singers thoughts and struggles.

You got some nice imaginery in this one. Love the tinder of new peppermint, like the grapes give up our whine. Very interesting!!!

the sound is fantastic. your vocals are really strong here as well. where was that drum sound when we were working on the big dig?

Looking at the lyrics... the first section is quite visual with good rhymes. The second section...nice writing with the twisting and use of unique words. The next section declares it is time to ressurect...very nice. Next section...sweep out the old with the new cold...that's cool. The next section shows the different times of year elements...quite visual. Ok, the last part is the chorus and outro. Very nice write. Getting some pressure from my brother as we need to get going. I'm ready to listen to the audio now...hold. Nice beat...cool intro. Vocals now...sounds good. Good mix. Nice bass and guitars. give up our whine...very cool. Time of year part now...sounds good. A bit of keys now...cool. Good melody. Sweep out the old now...ending. Excellent! I like it a lot.
