Not sure where this came from, but I was listening to old time funk earlier this evening Wink

This is straight outta the gate, so to speak, no editing as yet.

@coreystewart is very kindly going to create a demo using my lyrics here Smile I can't wait !

Corey says: Man, I had soooooooo much fun putting this one together. Funk is right up my alley Smile
TURN IT UP LOUD!

Lyrics:

It's time to dance
You know you wanna move
Time to dance
Ya wanna move real smooth
Let's dance da funk
Baby funk into the groove

Hey, feel the beat
An' move your rhythm feet
Feel the beat
Your feet are makin' heat
Let's dance da funk
Baby funk into the heat

When nights as hot as hell
You may as well be makin' love
When nights as hot as hell
You could be pumpin' decibels

Hey, feel the beat
An' move your rhythm feet
Feel the beat
Your feet are makin' heat
Let's dance da funk
Baby funk into the heat

When nights as hot as hell
You may as well be makin' love
When nights as hot as hell
You could be pumpin' decibels

Hey, feel the beat
An' move your rhythm feet
Feel the beat
Your feet are makin' heat
Let's dance da funk
Baby funk into the heat

It's time to dance
You know you wanna move
Time to dance
Ya wanna move real smooth
Let's dance da funk
Baby funk into the groove

What a groovy dance song! I can hear it in my head and my toes are tapping even with no music! Let me know if it gets music. Love it!

Oh man, these lyrics are right up my alley. There's nothing wrong with a bit of good ol' fashioned "party till you drop" lyrics... Your use of melodic rhythm in your words has given me an idea for some funky-ass music. May I have a go please?

What!?? Some brand new funk in town? I love it! Great combination of talents, you two. Loving the addition of “yeah” to end each verse with extra attitude. That’s one catchy chorus, with its own unique catchphrase, too. Still going around in my mind. Kudos!
