Liner Notes:

This song was written in response to a challenge elsewhere. Lots of restructuring, omitting and moving things around and I wonder if I lost something important to the point in the process. Let me know....

Lyrics:

Who You Are to Him
Lyrics by Kc Chad © 2019

Lift your eyes up off your toes
Look in mine, corale your thoughts
Steady your gaze and straighten your back
The world hasn’t a clue, the weight of your value

There’s a plan for you and your future days
The here and now isn’t the whole of life
See this moment as a speck of sand on an endless shoreline
An endless shoreline
All those tears, they fill the glistening sea and they’re
crashing in on the heart of your Savior
on the heart of your Savior
He longs to show you who you are to Him

You might have been sold by sin
might be chained to struggles within
But did you know you mean something to Him
Enough to give Himself as an offering (for you)?

There’s a plan for you and your future days
The here and now isn’t the whole of life
See this moment as a speck of sand on an endless shoreline
An endless shoreline
All those tears fill the glistening sea and they’re
crashing in on the heart of your Savior
on the heart of your Savior
He longs to show you who you are to Him

Don’t listen to those voices
That say you’re not enough
Don’t listen to those voices
That tell you you’re not loved
You are. Call on Jesus. Oh, call on Jesus
Don’t wait to be okay, now
You don’t have to get yourself straightened out
He’ll meet you where you are
Yes, He’ll meet you where you are
He’ll show you things of wonder

There’s a plan for you and your future days
The here and now isn’t the whole of life
See this moment as a speck of sand on an endless shoreline
An endless shoreline
All those tears, they fill the glistening sea and they’re
Crashing in on the heart of your Savior
on the heart of your Savior
He longs to show you who you are to Him

He longs to show you who you are to Him.

I love the breadth you cover with the lyrics. A praise song that speaks directly to my soul and I'm grateful for you sharing compassion through your words.

Thought I'd commented on this one, but I guess I hadn't! This is very encouraging and uplifting, lyrically. Nice work!

Strong first verse and good advice! A speck of sand on an endless shoreline...that is classic. Tears fill the glistering sea...very nice. The call on Jesus section is very good advice. Yes, I think this is pretty straight forward and offers hope you can't find anywhere else. Very good song!

Uplifting song, I particularly enjoyed the direct address in the first verse. I sat up a little straighter Smile
