Lyrics:

There's a hurricane a comin'… a hurricane's a comin'

There's a hurricane a comin'… but I ain't afraid… so go away, Barry!

I won't be a runnin'… no I won't be a runnin'

I won't be a runnin'… ain't gonna evacuate...so go away, Barry!

Go away, go away, you mean ole' hurricane...Go away, go away, Barry
Go away, go away, you mean ole' hurricane...Go away, go away, Barry

Gonna stay right here...gonna stay right here

I'm gonna stay right here...cook me a steak...so go away, Barry!

I've got my bread and my beer...got my bread and my beer

I've got my bread and my beer… to go with my steak...so go away, Barry!

Go away, go away, you mean ole' hurricane...Go away, go away, Barry
Go away, go away, you mean ole' hurricane...Go away, go away, Barry

The wind's gonna howl...you know the wind's gonna howl

The wind's gonna howl… in the middle of the day...go away, Barry

I'm gonna scream and shout… gonna scream and shout

I'm gonna scream and shout...chase you away...go away, Barry

I ain't afraid, no, I ain't afraid, I ain't afraid (now where did I put my car keys)

Yes Barry, go away! I am glad you can use your great talents even about a hurricane! Stay safe and keeping singing!

Diggin the bluesy vibe being in SW FL I feel the pain. Hope Barry is no more than a minor annoyance.

This has such a wonderful slow easy bluesy feel and contagious quality I had to sing along! I love the attitude you bring to this as you beat this beast! Great sound and song!

I love the blues beat, being an ignorant Scot I assume Barry is your next in line hurricane. And you had the good sense to stock up with beer! I like it,

Another really good blues song. The combination of serious subject and lighthearted vocals is a winner the way you do it. It doesn't undermine the seriousness, it just emphasizes the determination. It's nice to hear that your spoken voice is as wonderful as your singing voice.
