I wanna get away from making these kind of songs, and yet it keeps happening. I don't think it should though. It was a "I wanna make a song but I have nothing so I'll write something in 10 minutes and record it" type of track. Featuring a mystery sound in the intro and a solo I spent all too long to get the right take, I never splice my solos together, otherwise they would be pointless, and this one was really difficult for me to piece together.

The issue here is mainly the theme of the song. I wrote it be a maximum Rock Ac/Dc type song, hence why it has a fake out opening that seems like it's going to be "If You Want Blood". It was going to be called "Me And My SG" then I was like no I'll call it "Unstoppable Rock 'n Roll". But the lyrics I was writing where cheesy as hell so instead I made it about a newly divorced wop going back to Italy to basically get a mail order bride. Which is how my first relative came to Canada.

Lyrics:

Modern problems don't have solutions
Because no one's found the resolution
Gotta go back to the old land
Pay off a family and take her hand

New chance invites you - oh ya
and the families coming to, Sunday supper let's go

New World - Dinnertime
New World
Ketchup pasta and cold pizza
New World - Dinnertime
New World
I can't marry a mangiacake and eat this food that's-o-so fake
So Old World, here I come

She got brothers fighting with futile plans
To rebuild an empire no one understands
Ring out Greece and swipe Albania
and we all return to Ethiopia

New chance invites you - oh ya
and the families coming to, Sunday supper let's go

New World - Dinnertime
New World
Mac 'n' Cheese and bolognese
New World - Dinnertime
New World
I can't marry a mangiacake and eat this food that's-o-so fake
So Old World, here I come

New World - Dinnertime
New World
Mozza sticks and microwave tricks
Welcome to the world where my pasta meal
Has ketchup sauce and Anglo feel
I gotta go to the old country
Because you can't be divorced in '59
Oh ya, it's New World Dinnertime

Don't be so down on this - it rocks through and through, and has a lot to recommend it beyond the solo (as swell as that definitely is). I thoroughly enjoyed the energy and power-poppy rock sound throughout!

This reminds me of a lot of 90s grunge and punk. I could totally see a finished version of this finding its onto a Punk 'o' Rama-style comp. Love your guitar work all throughout this! Did you record the rhythm section yourself as well?

I really liked this. Reminded me of Bowie in his rock period! Cool stuff.

You might not rate this but it's still streets ahead of conventional rockers.
I don't listen to AC/DC but I used to, and I'm still a sucker for a great riff. It's the cliches that I object to with those bands now and can't stomach.
Cliche is something that could never be levelled at you. You take rock lyrically and musically to new places even if you start off the same place as them.
Forgot to mention the tremendous solo!

The intro sounds like a riff bomb is going to go off and the song delivered. I love AC/DC so a rocking song like this was a treat. Cool riffing and great energy, made me feel good!

That mystery sound at the beginning rocks hard. And then the killer riffs! Lyrically, it's similar to Jonathan Richman's "Old World" and lots of fun. Absolutely ripping guitar solo! 3:52 total AC/DC. Great!

Checking out your liner notes...oh man, that title "Unstoppable Rock 'n Roll" is pretty hard to resist a click. Reconsider and I'd love to hear that. Ok, now let's look at your lyrics here. Strong opening verse message. That two line lift is really good too...love the Sunday supper lets go. Chorus is excellent...ketchup pasta and cold pizza is really visual. Second verse...a powerful way to express that. I couldn't write that...no way. Mozza sticks and microwave tricks...lol...flows off the tongue nicely Ok, now the divorce line which is key to this song. Excellent lyrics and now I'm really looking forward to the audio track...hold. Cool rock intro...falling kind of sound on the guitar...how do you do that? Very cool. Rock n Roll...drums kicking in now...vocals sound great. Awesome rock music. Drums are cool...is that Caveman? Chorus now...new world...great melody and performance. This kicks ass...definitely ac/dc guitar sound here. You can really play those guitars....here i come...solo now..sounds awesome! Digging this a lot. Oh hell yes...this thing rocks. Nice change up on the guitars now. The microwave still works...new world...very catchy. yeah...alright. Nice finish. I'm glad you found me or I probably would have missed out on this. I try to listen to everybody...as much as I can. Great job on this song and I'll be back to hear the rest later this week.
