Liner Notes:

Skirmish prompt '(Don't) Rock My World' or some variation thereof with inspiration from the recent California earthquakes. I went with the variation on the title and di not use the inspiration. One of my lyrical goals this 5090 is to write more relationship songs and musically I want to create the music first then add lyrics and melody. I did tracks for percussion, keyboard, and guitar first and wrote lyrics and vocals last. The time signature and lyrics are a bit of a mismatch this time, but oh well it's a skirmish.

Lyrics:

You Rock My World
A E vamp

I saw you dancing there
Bopping in your seat
I walked over and asked
You smiled and yeah

You rock my world (repeat)

The day we bought the house
Solar panels and electric cars
The day I brought home
My first electric guitar

You rock my world (repeat)

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

Sweet short lyrics deliver effectively. I really enjoyed the music backdrop on this one too! Wonderful response to the prompt!

This is a cool sound! A sweet tribute to your partner and all you have shared with her.

The instrumental tracks have a very romantic feel. I could hear the chorus with big backing vocals. Good job matching your goal.

Very interesting approach to the prompt, it's kind of philosophical, like thinking aloud.

I like the different uses of the guitar in this. It creates a multi dimensional spacing around your vocals. Simple boy meets girl story songs always for the win!

Checking out the lyrics...a nice solid message...you rock my world. Ok, I'm ready for the audio now...hold. Cool intro...vocals now, works well with this music. Chorus is very catchy. Percussions now...sounds cool. I have the headset on and can hear the nice panning and mix. Yeah, my first electric guitar. Chorus again...catchy. Solid message. Good guitars. Nice fade out. Good one!
