Liner Notes:

Thanks once again to Titular for the title to this one... Smile ...it's not my usual way of writing, so am happy for the challenge (writing to a hook)!!

NOTE: Andy Getch created music for this. Listen here: http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/song/37460

Thanks Andy! Smile

Lyrics:

DOWN TO THE DREAMIN’

The shine on the lake
Looks so fake
Oh the sun can be blinding
Somehow it finds me

The faint crescent moon
Inspires a tune
Sliver of light to hang on
Before it is gone

[lift]
While the world twists and turns
Spreads a few germs

[ch]
It comes down to the dreamin’
Eternal fun seekin’
To duel the demons at hand
It comes down to believin’
We’re here for a reason
Doin’ the best we can

There’s always a clock
Relentless tick tock
That could frazzle my nerves
But I hear songbirds

There’s plenty of rules
And ships of fools
People who bring me down
But I play around

[lift]
While the world spins and shakes
What will it take

[ch]
It comes down to the dreamin’
Eternal fun seekin’
To duel the demons at hand
It comes down to believin’
We’re here for a reason
Doin’ the best we can

[br]
I do alright, day to day
But I’m not super human
I feel, I fear, I cry, I heal
Cuz I just keep on movin’

Repeat 1st lift, ch

You just keep writing better and better! That chorus is to die for. You inspire me. I love it!

Quite lyrical. I like where it is heading already. I think it is going to be stuck in my head - iI like those terse slightly nonsensical lines and a little bit of rhyme.
