Liner Notes:

I work retail and miss most of the weekend skirmishes, but I made a commitment this year to use those challenges to write about something other than being completely in love with a man who doesn't love me (like pretty much ALL 110 songs I wrote last year).

This is also my first ever lyric written with a male vocalist in mind. It's a super country-like lyric (to me)

Lyrics:

Your 4 - 1 - 1
(c) 2019 Deanna Sweidel

What’s your name
What’s your sign
Do you drink
Whiskey, beer or wine

Are you new
To this place
Never seen
Such a lovely face

I’ve got to get to know you
What do you do for fun
Oh tell me all about you
Baby, what’s your 4 -1 - 1

What’s your job
Got a pet
Do you think
It’s fate we met

Are you new
To this town
Never seen
Your face around

I’ve got to get to know you
What do you do for fun
Oh tell me all about you
Baby, what’s your 4 -1 - 1

Tell me your hopes
Share all your fears
Tell me your dreams
Share all your tears

I’ve got to get to know you
What do you do for fun
Oh tell me all about you
Baby, what’s your 4 -1 - 1

I’ve got to get to know you
By your beauty I am stunned
Oh tell me all about you
Baby, what’s your 4 - 1 - 1

Love these lyrics! Clever. Can totally hear this as a country song!

Kudos for new perspective and this is a very singable rhythmic lyric!

I guess this is the song you posted about "first date questions", got to be! So this guy doesn't seem so bad, he actually wants to know about the woman he's hanging with.

After I gave a quick response I was still thinking about first date questions -- has to be easy stuff, not "how do you feel about marrying somebody you just met" or "do you want more children". More like where have you lived? Where did you grow up? What's your favorite place to go on vacation?

Funny how much more I thought about this later on.
