Liner Notes:

I just brainstormed Pretty Little Picture for a while and due to it being a skirmish, leapt into the writing.

Lyrics:

Pretty Little Picture

Verse 1
Days when I felt my life fall apart
Crumbling dreams I have to give up
Nothing is working, it’s starting to rain
I left my jacket in the hallway again

Prechorus
Will I ever find
A way to make me shine?

Verse 2
Stuck in the crowd, I’m always the last
The train leaves the station, I couldn’t move fast
That’s when I saw you just drifting along
Like a scene from a movie you were singing your song

Prechorus
Am I just in time?
Could this be a sign?

Chorus
Would you share your life
In a pretty little picture
A pretty little picture with me?

Verse 3
Everyone jumps before the next train has gone
I shout for attention but your eyes have moved on
Lost in a moment I’m dreaming of you
Of what we could be and how to break through

Prechorus
To the only one
Who shines like the sun.

Chorus
Would you share your life
In a pretty little picture
A pretty little picture with me?

Chorus
Would you share your life
In a pretty little picture
A pretty little picture with me?

Nice one Matt - youve got the idea! good song. Dont forget to put the lyrics up. there no fun police that says exactly when it must be done but if you want everyone to comment you have a better chance if its within the hour of the Prompt time. ( i know thats not always possible)

Yep... will try and type them up soon. A mate came round for tea as soon as I finished! Haha!

This is a lovely song. The strumming adds to the frustration of the character in the story. Good melody...and the title sings so naturally. Sweet message.

A sweet tune and nice work on the skirmish. Thanks for playing!

Fabulous concept. Nice alliteration in the title and really, really liked how you had a slow legato prechorus then sang pretty little picture staccato. Way to frame the main hook! Mucho impressed Matt Biggrin

That is a pretty little gem. It reminds me of early Billy Bragg when he was in his solo electric troubadour phase.

This is wonderful I’m so many ways. I love the phrasing you use in the pre-chorus - it sets up the soaring lift in the first line of the chorus so well and also love the quick delivery of the hook, makes it memorable. And lovely sentiment and melody. Great delivery! Thumbs up! Really enjoyed!
