Liner Notes:

greetings friends. feel free to put music to this... or maybe i'll get to it; we'll see.

Lyrics:

chorus (slow first time):

if you've come around to
my town
people would be keen to smile and
look your way with joy

we've been lucky with our
hospitable charm
don't be quite perturbed by the
dingos in the yard

[speed up tempo]

verse 1:

come down to the festival we're
having in the middle of the
day

come and get a corn dog, i as-
sure you it's organic as it
may

pre-chorus:

nobody needs a
friend, but we'd all get
by if we had a few in
mind

nobody needs a
friend, but we'd all be
swell if we had a few in
mind

[repeat chorus]

verse 2:

come out to the carnival, the
kids will have some fun on all the
rides

come, it's free for people who are
willing now to seek a thrill that
hides

[instrumental bridge; be creative]

[repeat chorus]

[instrumental chorus]

[pre-chorus to fade out]

I'm not sure if you meant for this to be a simple tune or something insidious. If it is the latter, then it's cleverly written and makes for some great possibilities should you decide to create a demo or someone else does.

I appreciate the way these bright, festive scenes are always punctuated by a sinister undertone. Dingoes? Questionable food? A thrill that hides, indeed!
