No One to No One

Liner Notes:

IT'S 50/90 TIME! Been under some crazy stress. I knew I had to push out some lyrics at least to kick this challenge off properly. Will write the music and upload a demo later.

Lyrics:

forget about the high-res
downgrade the digital tv
i prefer a fuzzy picture
to a sharper realer me

i have no time for real
just want a comfy fantasy
i prefer this fuzzy picture
to be the only thing you see

and distant like some flawless celebrity
who answers to no one

i hope you have forgotten
what i promised to get done
and i'll stop promising anything anymore
be no one to no one

i hope you have forgotten
what i promised to get done
and i'll stop promising anything anymore
be no one to no one
not one
no one

from a distance you are perfect
i’m distantly happy for you
you stand so far away
i can’t even see your crew

i'll squeeze me like a sponge
without other arms to help
if i have to seep water
i can do it all myself

better not forget
the perfect life i distantly won
i'll stop promising anything anymore
be no one to no one

perfection achieved
i am no one to no one
i can do it all myself
no one to no one

no one relies on me
for anything
perfection achieved
i'll be no one to no one

Wow... this hits me right in the feels. Like, I can empathize with this lyric a lot...

Great opening lyric!

A fine start. I'm particularly fond of the couplet 'i prefer a fuzzy picture / to a sharper realer me' - a clever contrast (heh) that lets the underlying theme start seeping in.

Off to a great albeit lonely feeling start - I like the sense of wanting to stay in that fuzzy picture... too much clarity can be devastating. You also capture the sense of the isolation one feels after loss so well. Really powerful and effective emotion coming through.

The illusion of perfection you capture with these words is outstanding. Very powerful

"I hope you have forgotten what I promised to get done" is a great line. These lyrics are very good.

Wow, such a well written sad lyric! I love that hook; "No One to No One" is so powerful and emotional. But as I read to the end I'm seeing maybe empowerment! This is really good!

"Be no one to no one" this is a crazy prompt, but one I feel very strongly, I love it, I have sometimes dreamed of simply leaving some day and never looking back, no letters no nothing, just gone. Very interesting and intriguing lyrics
