Liner Notes:

9.30 here so started a little early. trying out my up skilled keyboard skills.

Starting with nothing complex just a nice happy bouncy
song. I recently took my wife to Scotland and she
loved the bluebells there, particularly at a place called
Ballaclulish, so I promised her my first song would
mention them. So here it is!

Lyrics:

Like a bird on the wing
Like the bluebells in spring
I see an oh so beautiful world

I see mountains and hills
That give you such thrills
And the sun breaks the mist that had swirled

Oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Oo its a beautiful world

I see seas so blue
Green grass with soft dew
And sunrises that leave you in awe

I feel soft gentle rain
Then the sunshine again
And Sunsets that seem to implore

Oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Oo its a beautiful world

Instrumental
Like a bird on the wing
Like the bluebells in spring
I see an oh so beautiful world

Oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Oo its a beautiful world

Old tall regal trees
Not much equals these
As they stand so tall and so proud

There so much to see
In this world that is free
I want to shout it out loud

Oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Oo its a beautiful world

Oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Oo its a beautiful world

" love that roller rink organ sound."

This is what stood out for me as well, how/what were you using to make those sounds, @coolparadiso?

Perfect. Lovely little tableaux of nature at its most warm and gentle. I think the repeated mentions of the sun at the end of the verses is artfully done.

It really is describing a beautiful world. Love the inspiration.

Nice beginning. That shimmery synth sound fits the mood really well. I like the slight undercurrent of minor chords that is there too, a little complexity and a hint of regret, maybe, to this song.

Love that organ tone and the tune has a comforting feel to the structure--- it just bespeaks that contentment and joy of love.

This is the first song I’ve listened to this 5090 as the title and the fact that it is you I knew it would be wonderful - and it truly is! Wonderful evolution of the lines, lovely images, and great upbeat feel. Such lovely vocals paired with the organ! What a superb start!

Lovely, put a smile on my face from the first bars. Reminds me of What a wonderful world Smile

I really like that keyboard and the way it meshes with your mellifluous vocals. Upbeat and innocent and reminiscent of 60s sunshine pop!

For me it has a vintage 1960's feel to it I have not heard in a while, - well done.

Awesome start John. You can really write a song and paint a beautiful picture with the lyrics. This could be the title track for a new album!

This is very nostalgic for me... like the songs I used to listen to when I was a kid. I like how easily and naturally the lyrics scan. Love the chorus... simple strong statement. I also like the little bit of pause between the oooh and the next line.

Well, I for one don't need something complex. I'm quite satisfied with a nice happy bouncy song like this one. Great hook in the refrain with the catchy oos and all. Like everybody else, I like the lively organ sound. It's very likable, like the whole song.

nice work, really has momentum, could imagine as much bigger song.

I appreciate the concept and the motivation behind this; promising your wife you'll make a song about something she likes...that's just good vibes there.
Lovely lyrics and sentiment on this one.

I like that refrain of the title. It is phrased nicely. A light pop melody that carries a sincere appreciation of natures beauty. Picked me up in a lazy aftrrnoon at work.

Looking at the lyrics...opening section...lots of nice visuals and totally positive message. ooooh oooh ooooh...lol...it's a beautiful world. Very nice! The second section...again, lots of good visuals with the elements of the world. Regal trees...not sure what they look like but sounds good. Yeah, I like the message of this song and such a positive way of looking at life and making songs. Very good rhymes throughout. Ok, I'm ready for the audio now...hold. Cheerful music...vocals now....sounds very good. Good melody. ooooh now...sounds great...it's a beautiful world. Very good. ooooh again...sounds great. Yeah, it's a beautiful world is a very catchy hook. Soothing vocals. The oooh oooh thing makes me want to sing along...it's a beautiful world. Great song!
