Written extremely late for this skirmish:

I saw this thread when @zxcvbnm posted their interpretation, and it's just the sort of prompt that invariably causes me to challenge myself to include all of the bonus elements. I couldn't resist. Not written in the space of an hour, unfortunately, as when I first saw it I was already late for breakfast, and that's a thing one can only delay so long. I later discovered it half-done on the penultimate day of 50/90 and hastily finished it. It's not quite what I first envisioned. I may revisit it if I ever have time to do rewrites of old songs, but at least it's complete even if not in its final form.

Is it possible to intake too much Jeeves and Wooster content? Asking for a friend who's binge watching the show, reading loads of fanfics, and has just uncovered a large anthology volume in the course of house cleaning. Come to think of it, the volume is entitled "Just Enough Jeeves" which rather implies that any more than that amount of Jeeves is dangerous in some fashion. Possibly causing one to begin to write in the style of one Bertram Wilberforce Wooster.

Some fandom highlights:
Reeves and Worcester mysteries (a series of steampunk-themed homages I mentioned before in the "What are you reading?" thread, in which Reeves is an automaton and Worcester a detective engaged to a suffragette) https://www.amazon.com/Reeves-Worcester-Steampunk-Mysteries-Book/dp/B01JJ1AIK2
Bertie's Blog (a modern interpretation, obviously, in which Bertie tries to learn to live on his own and finds himself falling in love with his helpful neighbor, Jeeves)https://archiveofourown.org/works/10479690
Oh What Ho You Chaps (although admittedly this is much funnier if you are familiar with the song it's parodying, "Oh My God You Guys" from the Legally Blonde musical) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=37YuT9d6TYk

Lyrics:

I spotted a ghastly silver ring
In a souvenir shop
As I goggled at the thing
The owner had the gall to
Ask if I had a fair
Maid in mind to give the bauble to

I backed out with blinding speed
At the mere thought of such
And realized I'd been freed
When I ducked around a big knot
Of ladies husband-fishing
If I'd stayed I might have got caught

CH:
With Jeeves without of earshot
And no fillies coming round the bend
To bung poor old Wooster in the spongebag
Racing neck and neck his intentions to misapprehend
I must admit that I
Perhaps don't fully comprehend
The magnitude of feeling that rushes fellows toward that end
For I'm content

But what if things went the other way?
What if it'd jinxed me?
For many a night and many a day
Such fears my mind have preyed on
Like the predatory
Ladies, which I saw again later on

And suffered a severe shock
Resulting in Bertram's
Inadvertently spilling hot
Darjeeling down the soup and fish
Still and all, one must keep
A stiff upper lip and sunny disposish

CH:
With Jeeves without of earshot
And no fillies coming round the bend
To bung poor old Wooster in the spongebag
Racing neck and neck his intentions to misapprehend
I must admit that I
Perhaps don't fully comprehend
The magnitude of feeling that rushes fellows toward that end
For I'm content

You may think my proclivities
May make me, as they say, bent
But dash it all, confound it
If you a single day had spent
In the warm embrace of Jeeves's tender ministrations
To wit, breakfast in bed, well-pressed trousers and all that sort of thing
The running of the bath at just the right temperature
The prompt deliverance from hangovers
The bailing out of soup when things get thick
The tending to one's health when one gets sick
Barring of course the tender pash driving you to procure a dratted silver ring
You too would be content

This is brilliant! I'd like to find the show and revisit once I have more point of reference, but I am already completely enchanted with your style here. I'm so glad you posted this up before the close!
