Liner Notes:

SUPER FAST... Freaky fast? It's jimmy johns's... seriously, 15 minutes to write and do a simple recording. Is that a record? No, but it's fast... freaky fast.

Lyrics:

Every time I see your tears
I want to wipe them away
Brings back a memory
Lost to yesterday

Seems like it's getting hard
Hard for you to make it through
How I wish I could help
Reach out and comfort you

It was such a beautiful day
I wish I could tell you why
Such a beautiful day to die

And even though you can't see me
I hope you can feel me near
Each night as you fall asleep
Whisper in your ear

I tell you all the things
I should have told you before
But I guess it doesn't matter
Doesn't matter anymore

It was such a beautiful day
I wish I could tell you why
Such a beautiful day to die

It was such a beautiful day
I wish I could tell you why
Such a beautiful day to die

Damn T.C., this is a mighty fine song. And yeah, 15 minutes is freaky fast! I love the guitar strumming and such a pleasing chord progression! This is so reminding me of that movie, I think it was called Ghost? I read your lyrics several times and I think the singer is the one who has gone!! Really a great take on the prompt!!

You've really mastered the art of one-take room recordings. High five!
I like the line "whispering in your ear." It's like you're sending positive energy across the universe, state, room, whatever, to the person you love and long to comfort but can't for whatever reason.
Just read John's comment. Yup. Could be that too.
Good stuff!

Well this reaches in and grabs my heart ... gorgeous vocals and melody that convey such depth of sadness and letting go. As always great guitar too. Amazing skirmish.

Such a beautiful take on the prompt; there's a note of sadness but hope all at once.
