Wanting You

Liner Notes:

I had written a pretty dark song from the perspective of a woman-hating INCEL earlier today and I felt uncomfortable uploading it. I was still thinking about relationships and reflected on how I have found someone attractive but the feelings were not reciprocated. Attraction is so intuitive and I can often tell simply through body language whether someone is interested in me. I wanted to write a song about being stuck in a one-sided relationship but also knowing that the right person will come along.

Lyrics:

Won't you say you love me
Like I'm the only man in your eyes
Of course, you live your life
In search of someone right
You'll find them sometime
As you look past my shoulder
Who do you see?

When you look away
Your eyes speak more than you could ever say
Anyways
As you close your eyes
Who do you find?

It’ll never be the way I want it
I can never change the way your heart feels
I can kill myself resisting
I can waste my time on wishing
it was different
Or I can let go of
Wanting you

Won't you say you love me
Like I'm the only man in your eyes
Of course, you live your life
In search of someone right
You'll find them sometime

As you look past my shoulder
Who do you see?
As I look past your shoulder
Who do i see?
Someone for you
Someone for me

i really like your rhythm guitar and sense of rhythmic vocal phrasing. there is never any part of the song where i feel i am hearing somethihgn repeated for the sake of repitition. the song keeps unfolding musically in pleasant, but unpredictable, anticipation,
