Liner Notes:

The insanity from the 'orange disaster' (as i call him) in the white house continues, even as, perhaps, the wagons slowly circle from Mueller and others.

Thought I'd write another political song, just for fun.

So here's a hopefully-somewhat-rousing 'call to action for this November's elections.

(After recording, i thought of a better line instead of 'help light a fire be more then just an ember', which is 'this is your country too, be a voting member'- then again, maybe the first line is better? there's room for both as I repeat that section, and in the printed lyrics i use both)

quick iPhone recording, this time using a Taylor acoustic guitar

Lyrics:

In the very very very White House
There’s a very very bad orange man
We’ve got to get rid of him and his ilk
It’s the one thing we need to understand

In the very lame Congress on Capitol Hill
All the Republicans have lost their will
Supposed to be a check on executive power
No matter what he does they support it still

So in the very soon month of November
Help light a fire, be more than an ember
The only way out, democratic congress coming in
All the things I’ve said please remember

Remember Nazis he said were good people
Remember children torn away from their mothers
Remember siding with Russia instead of our own intelligence
Remember all the lies one after another

So in the very soon month of November
This is your country too, be a voting member
The only way out a Democratic Congress coming in
All the things I’ve said please remember

In the very very very White House
There’s a very very bad orange man
We’ve got to get rid of him and his ilk
It’s the one thing we need to understand

Great call to vote and vote I sure will! He is the worst disaster-far worse than I could have imagined. Great song!

Interesting happy folky circular ballad-y structure and melody arc for such a sobering lyric.

love that guitar sound, i think the best thing about your (and the rest of the world!) problem there is the amount of songs you have got out of it. good luck wafting those embers in november
