Lyrics:

G hi-g D f#
Mourning morning-fantasies…, in failing old seed
G D
Crying wolves as doves…, and unicorn pleads
F f Am e G d
Prying for their massacres and fighting and spurs // //
F f Am e G d
Dreams from my mass - ses..., of nightingale burns // //

G D
Oh these mourning activists..., spry in their mire
G D
What would they do…, if ever got fooled …
F f Am G
What would they paint, their burdened dreams with, --then // //
F f Am G
What would they taint, their curling screams with, --then // //

G D
Your fantasies you say…, wash your rags in-blood to white
G D
And say nothing of being the ones, to collude the false fight
F Am G
And they weight in the scale-of, your mighty wind freeze
F Am G
And they wait in the pail-of, your frighten - ing need

G D
The trumpets then will blow, and bowls will be poured
G D
And what then will be..., the lessor their lessons need
F Am G
And then will be the plan of their gaping wound spurned
F Am G
And then will be the man of their gaping anti-burned

G D
So they protest to protest..., the protest of your dreams
G D
And fight and argue…, while there you bleed
F Am G
Your flesh blood and bone, lying as monument stone
F Am G
No tree of eternal life, none will they see 2x (be ~ 2x)

I like the word play in this... mourning morning and lesser lessons. Some really great imagery here too. Lovely recording underneath too. Subtle but polished sounding.

First of all, thanks for checking in with your concern - no storm worries here for now. But I made sure all my generator supplies were ready.
Wonderful song you have here! And I wish I had my headphones with me to appreciate the bass you added. Really assured vocal here - you always have that, but I'm really noticing it on this one.

I second katpiercemusic's note about this being polished. Your voice really comes through here and it sounds great. The percussive elements along with the guitar are perfect for this.
Also, just well written lyrics. Not everyone can put words together so well.
