Liner Notes:

Corey says: This is a collaboration between Benjo and myself and this great lyric was inspired, as Benjo puts it...

"...this lyric came about after reading about Oasis brothers Noel & Liam Gallagher getting back together, then reading about the fall out and it made it seem so futile and that so many other pointless things and fallouts are going on in the world"

It's also a very topical lyric... Just check out the last bit of the second chorus and ask yourself what comes to mind.

Lyrics:

Doesn’t Change My View

Verse 1
You say what I’ve been saying
They're the bricks that I’ve been laying
My wall goes higher than the sky
You do what I’ve been doing
You shoot a hole right through it
If it makes you feel like you can fly

Chorus
Well it's nothing new
It doesn't change my view
Well it's nothing new
It doesn't change my view of you
It doesn't change my view of you
And the next day in the papers
Noah's suing god
For a great big world of water
That he said didn't want

Verse 2
You play what I’ve been playing
Those songs that get you swaying
If it takes you back to a happy day
You think what I’ve been thinking
Thunder clouds and too much drinking
Cocaine and rain has washed it all away

Chorus
Well it's nothing new
It doesn't change my view
Well it's nothing new
It doesn't change my view of you
It doesn't change my view of you
And the next day in the papers
A little birdie tweets
If you make another missile
I will make you eat your teeth

Bridge
You walk where i have been walking
Like a shadow secretly stalking
The limelight helps you, to hide away

Chorus (x2)

It doesn’t change my view of you

Noah's suing god / For a great big world of water /That he said didn't wantB
that is way to clever and intelligent to be mistaken for somethng by the gallagher numbskulls. Theguitars are pretty Oasis-like, though. ut you would have to drink a gallon of mad dog to sing as badly as Liam. but that is his charm, isnt it?
Damn Oasis anyway. they single handedly destroyed the possibilities for a US market for the great Britpop bands, And this song is fr closer to those other, much better bands, than to Oasis.

Great sound. I care little about the Oasis drama, but this sounds good. Very catchy.

Great rock anthem feel - that chorus really delivers and is memorable for both the words and music. I like the rhymes and word play in the verses. Really well crafted and Corey's delivery of the melody is awesome!

I love the way this sort of swings along. The guitar riff before the singing is a great hook, and the chorus lifts off nicely and moves in a slightly unexpected direction. The lyric has an openness to it that lets us read into what we want...even if we don't know anything about Oasis. Nice work here, every piece fits together to make some good rocking fun

I'm glad this was put to music...and in my opinion, the perfect music for these lyrics.
Could easily be an Oasis itself.
I read about their issues long ago on a whim, and was disappointed. I'm not a huge fan of theirs, yeah I'm the "oh, they are the ones that did Wonderwall" kind of guy. But I hate strife. I really liked these lyrics when I was looking through Benjo's stuff and hoped someone could do something with them, and THIS is pretty much exactly the kind of vibe I was hoping to hear.
Well arranged, well sang, good rocky vibe...all around nice tune. Would listen to more than a couple times if I just came across it on spotify!

Magic. the Noah/lawsuit lyric just makes me roll over. Corey, excellent. This should really play well on the pub circuit!
