Liner Notes:

Not sure how to describe this one- the lyric came very fast and almost all at once, perhaps thinking of some half-imagined (but only half, ha) thoughts/fears of uncertain fates, etc...

I had been messing around with the central chord progression for a few days, without success ,and then this lyric kind of appeared- the end of each verse has a kind of beatleeque, perhaps, set of chord changes?

recorded quick on the iPhone

can still hear my straining to hit some high notes, but it's better then it was...

Lyrics:

When your gut is sending messages your consciousness cannot decode
And that clicking might be static or maybe the devil’s morse code
Is that a knife in your back, or is it just a fork in the road
When your gut is sending messages your consciousness cannot decode

Is it over or just the eye of the storm, when it feels so calm
No one knows what happens next, no not even Mom
you can search for fortune tellers from Rome to Vietnam
Is it over or just the eye of the storm, when it feels so calm

I don’t know which is worse, not knowing , or knowing too much
Am I getting into gear, is that the brake or is that the clutch
And after all this time, can it be that I’m losing my touch
I don’t know which is worse, not knowing, or knowing too much

Love the line "I don’t know which is worse, not knowing , or knowing too much" - exactly how I feel right now. Great lyrics and vocals!

I feel like I've had these thoughts before! Of course I dig the Beatlesqueness. Lovely chord changes! I love the little pauses toward the ends of the verses.
