Take It Slow

Some days it's slow goin'
When I'm feelin' down
I turn on the TV screen
Bad news all around
I hop into my trusty truck
And head on in to town
But nothin's happenin'
There's no where else to go
It's just too slow.

I could sit and wonder
What it's all about
But pretty soon I hit the wall
No ideas start to sprout
Another cup of coffee
Might help to bring it out
What's the answer?
Couldn't say 'cause I don't know
It's just too slow

Slow ain't all that bad I guess
If there's nothin' else to do
Try not to make too much mess
If you're slow I guess
You don't want to be the clean up crew

When I wake up tomorrow
Hope I'm feelin' good
I can make some progress
Doin' what I should
But if I start to draggin'
It'll be well understood
I'm not lazy
Just goin' with the flow
I'll take it slow.

Yeah, you have a good melody and a good sounding guitar with good playing. Honestly, this simple demo sounds pretty darn good. Adding the shaker was a nice touch. I think your voice suits this lyric quite well.

Love the way the song itself has a laid back groove to it. Great lyrics. Enjoyed the song a lot!

Wonderful pace and phrasing for this prompt - as always your delivery is spot on. I like the core sentiment as well - going with the flow, but not so slow that we get stuck with the the mess. Well done!

Beautiful song and take on skirmish. I like the concept, the sentiment and the whole song works so lovely. A pleasure to listen to.

Days like this are many for me; I relate.
Set against the ideal stylings on guitar and delivered with vocals which convey this whole mood perfectly.
Great ending, too!
