There's a forum post up about bending the 50/90 rules (posted below). After reading that, I decided to post this. It was written, and also recorded, after last year's 50/90 but before this one started. This is the original song that started me on this year's theme of blending rock and electronic pop music. I'll post 51 songs to make up for it and pray for forgiveness.

Lyrics:

When you're better, when you're better
Do you feel a little under the weather?
When you're better, not so bitter
Will you find a way to say this better?

Come on lets roll up the street, up the street
Come on lets go, come on lets go

And drive on, away from everyone
Drive and carry on

When you're better, when you're better
Do you feel a little under the weather?
When you're better, not so bitter
Will you find a way to say this better?

And just like that its gone
Like a vacant walk with your sandals on

I know I believe, I know
Who are you going to be?

Today I know a little less than yesterday
But I know, I don't have to say, I don't have to say
Come on lets roll up the street, up the street
Come on lets go, come on lets go
And drive on

Drive, drive on
Drive on, drive on

Who you gonna' be?

For reasons that I really can't explain this reminds me of Dwight Twilley, I think it might be the phrasing, it does have a power pop sound to it, as well. Lots of energy, and interesting things happening, fun listen.

I like the pentatonical twiches - i would have developed the bass a bit more or just add more guitars and skip the electronica - or not Smile It's fun and positive danselike tune - what else do you need? Lol

Catchy song, and well-produced, too. Definitely a keeper, and hey, if it inspired an album, that's great too. Smile

Love the production on this. Its real catchy. Fun lyrics with great hooky elements. Very drawn to your vocal. Has a great energy and tone.

If you fancy a collab with my lyrics. Feel free. Be excited to hear what you can do.
