Liner Notes:

I originally thought my music was suitable for my lyrics 'Waiting for You' so I posted it with my lyrics but had second thoughts. I still don't know if it is connecting well or not. Would be very helpful to hear your opinion. All thoughts, criticism, ideas are very welcome. Part of me says if in doubts leave it, another part says I should trust my first opinion so I'm in two minds here. The original instrumental is https://nadiacripps.bandcamp.com/track/waiting-for-you and a little different instrumentation is what I'm posting here.
My lyrics is http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/song/31881 but I'll paste it here in case it's easier to follow while the music is playing:

Waiting For You
Lyrics ©2018 Nadia Cripps

I sent you my message and another one
Then many, many more
Hoping for your reply yet there is none
Is it too much to ask for?

You could text me, email me or call
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting
Don't you want to bother at all?
Do you find my expectations irritating?

Just tell me you are alright
I don't need anything, I promise
I only want to shed some light
On what happened. You are out of sight
Will you be back in July or in August?

Please text me, email me or call
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting
Don't you want to bother at all?
Do you find my expectations irritating?

Just one word or a simple phrase
Is okay for me
I'm sitting alone here for days
Stairing from my window at our love tree

Please text me, email me or call
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting
I will be near our waterfall
If you are still hesitating
Remember, I will be waiting
I will be waiting
Waiting, waiting, waiting for You

Ha! That's my grandson...never responds. Sad I think we can all appreciate this sentiment. Lovely instrumentation. Would love to hear the vocals.

I listened to both musical pieces Nadia. Both have their merits and are lovely. The original is more sparse and good for the sentiment of the person being alone and waiting. This version has more "bells and whistles" to my ears (correct musical term escapes me! lol) and catches an emotional wind with some added flair. One thing I noticed is that I liked the tone of the ending of the original better in keeping with the words...but that's just me. Either could work!
