After Hours (at the Bar)

Liner Notes:

Lately I had been thinking about writing a jazz piece, and this was made up in about an hour or so.
All of the music was recorded using instrument samples on my Yamaha PSR-EW400 keyboard.

Please keep your comments respectful, honest, and constructive. Please focus on the song and not the demo.

Excellent feel. Glad I stopped by and gave it a listen

Gotta love jazz. I'm right there in a smokey bar...the mood is a happy one. There are two couples dancing badly and one couple dancing like pros. One of the band member's girlfriend, probably the pianist's, is getting a little too drunk. The bar tender is cleaning up, wiping down the bar. You've managed to paint a very vivid picture here. Good job.

Hot. There's a great off-kilter, not sure where the next minute will come from feeling here. All I need is a chilled, up manhattan now.

Nice! This is the sort of jazz I like - introspective, yet soulful. And you say you did this all with your keyboard? Hmm... Interesting. If you don't mind me asking, how long did this one take to make? I, too, have a Yamaha keyboard with awesome sound fonts, but so far all I've really recorded is the grand piano setting. Anyway, I'd be interested to know how long this piece took to make.

Once again, it's a great piece! Loving that sax especially, and the drums.

Great jazz-and I love jazz! The drums, the sax-the whole feel. Nice!
